Steps to make Rice masala with Potato & Beef stew:
Start the cooking with chopping the beef and peeling of potatoes which can be done concurrently to save on time
Boil the beef to make it tender this should take around 30 minutes.
Prepare the onions and tomatoes by chopping to small pieces to ensure a smooth paste is gotten when cooked on oil.
Prepare the rice by first measuring water twice its size= 600grams of water/ 600-650ml boil the water in a pan, add 1 tablespoonful of cooking oil, salt and pilau masala.
When the mixture boils add rice to the cooking pan,cover with lid and use gentle heat to cook. The rice should be ready in 30 minutes
Frying the potato and beef stew; use 1 tablespoonful of cooking oil and place into a cooking pan heat gently. Add the onions and brown while stirring for about a minute the add the chopped tomatoes stirring to ensure you have a thick paste.
Add the potatoes into the mixture stir and Cover wit lid for about 15 minutes to ensure proper infiltration of the thick paste and for its prooer cooking.
After 15 minutes add the boiled tender beef to the potatoes and stir to distribute the flavour.
Add a little soup about 100 mls of water to the pan and stir. Leave for 15 minutes to ensure its well cooked.
Food is now ready. Serve and enjoy the meal.
