When almost browned add garlic and onions. Cook until onions softened.
  2. Add Tomato sauce, paste, and spices. Stir well. Cover with lid and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Combine Ricotta and Parmesan in bowl. Mix well.
  4. Layer sauce, cheese mixture, and noodles in crockpot, breaking up noodles if necessary to fit. Start with Sauce!
  5. Save some sauce to put over last layer of noodles. Cover with Mozzarella cheese.
  6. Cook on low for 4-6 hours.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
  8. LOVE to serve with bread sticks or garlic bread.

Luckily, this crockpot lasagna totally passes my lasagna standards and is, in fact, just as good as traditional baked lasagna! The noodles are perfect, the meat sauce is perfect, the cheese is perfect. This is just cozy comfort food and the fact that it's made in the slow cooker just makes it better. Crockpot lasagna is not different than any other lasagna recipe! You will still find layers of meat sauce, cheese, and pasta but instead of arranging your lasagna in a baking dish, it is layered right in your crockpot!
